So as to update which I haven’t done in a while, or the usual absence, not a whole lot of venting this time around.
So yes I did apply like I said in the last entry. They pulled us all aside at separate intervals during the business night and we had to pretend not to know about the news and such.
So I did get the Treasury position. I’m still in between emotions of getting this. A lot tell me that it’s going to be Hell and others are happy. So I’m a mix of this. So yes I’m glad I did get it but I’m not pouncing around like I won the lottery or something. It’s a “higher” positions I suppose but again I don’t care for the wages; not sure how it’s going to be for respect wise because of the stories I’ve heard. Not to mention the still on going drama that pops up now and again. So I am going to try the best I can and we’ll see where it leads me to; more insanity or I’ll like it. (Not saying I don’t like my insanity or anything ) So apparently I’m supposed to get trained during the week that Star Trek comes out. Nooooes!! It’s just so busy, why not next month??

I think I’m not all that great of a planner, it’s not like I want to actually host and event but it just seems like my suggestions of meeting for an event always seem…well lacking something. -lol- There were 3 of us that actually dressed up, (3 canceled on us and one almost didn’t make it. And 2 never showed up, which was disappointed because I wanted to see what they had worked on.) My costume was more or less, ready, except for my coat. I dyed that damned section twice and I suppose leaving it not long enough (45 minutes when it said about 20) might have done it?? Whenever I rinsed it as instructed, it all came out. So what I did was grabbed blood gel remaining from my Alice costume and such, mixed with some water to easily “dye” it. Seemed to work a little. Dried it in the machine cause I was already running late with returning from a 3 hour wait somewhere for someone, so the dryer is red, luckily I was able to wipe it off, I just have to go over it again for hidden sections and let the roommates know not to dry any whites. My gun at the end of the night, well I lost a few pieces here and there, the rest in my bag to eventually glue at a later time; I think I might just put everything away. I’ve had a craft” section on my desk for like 2 months now.
My glowsticks order hadn’t come in and I’ve done this at least the beginning of the month and it gave plenty of time to arrive here, I know it does take some time but really? And probably with my luck it’ll show up tomorrow morning. -__- So I tried to be crafty since I couldn’t find any right sized glowsticks. Bought a a longer kind and cut them in half, yeah I know and glue tops and such. Seemed to work for a bit…-lol- Yeah, once in a while there were blue fingerprints and smears here and there and a leak in my GR bag. Up to the point that it removed some of my nail polish. I made extras in case we met people. It was a bit disappointed in the lack of other costumed people but I think there were a bit more people?? I can’t recall, it might be the same amount. I was going to take more pictures afterwards but it was pouring when we left, and we were all rushing back to the cars. L Fun point: we made the girl that joined us dress up (we were planning to have a bunch of us) but she got dressed at the car, on a dark street into a skirt. With both of us watching. -lol- Ah the times that my new camera is not being a battery hog. Hopefully she liked it. We kind of dragged her to it with a brief summary of film.
I can finally dye my hair back to black again. -sighs- I missed it heh. And also my bangs were annoying the Hell out of me, I just wanted them cut again, but had grown them for the Graverobber hairdo.
I’m already not liking the new camera now and I can see why it was so easily given away. -lol- It kills batteries like no other. I had bought a pack of batteries just in case the rechargeable weren’t ready for the Repo event. Well I had to use them and it lasted about 3 pictures, barely before I had to exchange them. Wow like seriously, wow. I’ve no choice but to use the flash in order to actually get a nice picture. If I don’t, then, it’s fuzzy and apparently the motion stop doesn’t work in non-flash mode.
I should have gone to bed earlier, an early meeting plus work and then staying for the Wolverine screening…good idea, especially if you work in the morning the next day. GUH. So random blarg from my sleep deprived state. On the way to work the other day (ick way too sunny) I saw a crow I think, was a bit far and moved too quickly before I could see what kind it was but just enough for me to see that it had white feathers a bit at the tail. And no it wasn’t poo, it was actually a bit underneath as it flew off. I thought it was gorgeous. -lol- No camera in sight. Damn. Ah well.
